Don’t worry we won’t be discussing any CAFE 35 fuel-economy regulation issues in this post. Chrysler’s VP, Raplh Gilles (one lucky man here), strapped on a video camera to the top of a Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR and went for some joy riding with three others at the No Problem Raceway track in Belle Rose, Louisiana.
Powered by an 8.4-liter aluminum V10 engine the Viper SRT10 ACR produces 600 horsepower and 560 lb-ft. of torque. The engine is mated with the new Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission known as the TR6060. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a GKN ViscoLok speed-sensing limited-slip differential.
