Lamborghini Ferruccio

CarMagazine wrote a report on what might have benn the fastest Lamborghini to exit the Sant’Agata facility, the Lamborghini Ferruccio. Considering that the article was written yesterday, on April 1, this might be a prank, though we don’t really thinnk so.
CarMagazine reports that the car was designed by Italian coachbuilder Magvisio, and basically, it was a rebodied Murcielago LP640 which also would have gotten a power boost and would’ve been able to go as far as 230 mph. Magvisio is a specialist in customisation jobs for private customers and they named the project after Lamborghini’s founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini.Though Lamborghini was never involved in the project, rumors say that the Italian officials were monitoring the project and were close to apporving it at some time. But, as designer Pule Magau said: “We have only had three orders, and no one has put down a deposit yet. Let’s just say it’s on ice.”
One of the main reasons why the interest was low, was the price of the Ferruccio. Magvisio planned on creating five coupe and five cabrio versions, each one priced at $1.5 million. Why so high? With its design inspired from past Lamborghinis, such as the rear haunches from the Countach or the light clusters from the Miura, the car would’ve gotten the 630 hp 6.5 liter V12 engine from the LP640 and also the four-wheel drive system. The performance figures are impressive: 0 to 60 mph in 3.0 seconds, 0 to 100 mph in less than 6 seconds and a top speed of over 230 mph. The Ferrucccio’s body and chassis are made from lightweight carbon fibre and on the interior we had carbon fibre seats, carbon dash and carbon doors. doors are carbon.
However, Magau added that they’re currently negotiating with prototyping firm Protoscar, which could cut costs and are really ambitious to create this car. The three customers that placed orders for the cars were supposed to pick up their cars in September but, until they don’t bring in deposits, this won’t happen.
