The new Bugatti will be launched in 2011 or 2012

Everybody knows that the Bugatti Veyron is a brilliant car and very sought-after, the producer setting a limit of only 300 cars that will be produced, this number including the Pur Sang, Sang Noir and FBG by Hermes versions. Such a limited number has made the specialists wonder about the plans of future models conceived by the France-based manufacturer, these questions are beginning to be answered because reports are emerging that a successor to the Veyron will be coming most probably in 2011 or 2012.

Details about this model are scarce, the performance specs even non-existent. All that is known, from the words of Franz-Josef Paefgen, CEO of Bugatti, is that the car will be a true successor to all the Bugatti models so far, an evolution of the Veyron, and that it will continue the rich history of the manufacturer. He also stated that the direction followed when they conceived the Veyron will be maintained, in layman’s terms, if it works, don’t change it.

One of the key aspects Bugatti need to figure out with the future model, is the new and more strict emission and pollution regulation. The ideea of smaller, more fuel efficient engines is really killing the whole super-car market. Also, another fact stated by Paefgen, is that they will consider taking this new model onto the car racing scene, probably to prestigious events like the LeMans, which would fit the image of a high class super-car of this model.

Bugatti Veyron gets a traffic ticket

Take a look at this photo…all those people are gathered in downtown Manchester, around a traffic warden writing a fine for an illegally parked Bugatti Veyron.

Apparently this is not the first time this Veyron gets a traffic ticket, but my guess is that the 60 pounds fine (or 30 pounds if paid two weeks) won’t make a hole in the guy’s budget. If the car would’ve been towed, now that would’ve been something.

Anyways, it was fun seeing this photo with all those people cheering, not to mention the title from “The Sun”: “0-60 quid in 2.5 seconds for Bugatti”.

Top Gear is probably the only TV series where a spy video gets viewers excited about an upcoming episode. We have been amazingly anxious to watch the episode where Top Gear’s Richard Hammond races the Bugatti Veyron against a Eurofighter; and it’s finally here.

The Bugatti Veyron is the fastest production Supercar money can buy. With 1001 HP, the mighty bug can go from 0 to 100MPH is 5.5 second and top out at 253MPH. However, speed is a relative term. What is fast in one reality isn’t so fast in another. So, what happens when $1.7 million Veyron meets up with a $45 million EF-2000 jet fighter for a drag race? This video will explain it.

To make the two mile long race more fair, the jet fighter has to do one mile going straight up, turn around and nose dive straight down to the finish line. The Bugatti will blast down to the mile mark, turn around and race back to the finish line. First one to cross the line wins. Who’s the winner? Watch the video and find out.
